Hannah Valentine is an artist from St. Louis, MO who creates. Romantic existentialism, sexual yearning, and the exploration of sadness and doubt are the three pillars of Valentine’s artworks. Collage work is one of the many mediums that Valentine produces in her studio. She expresses herself with one of a kind collage art sourced from vintage publications she acquires from estate sales or thrift stores. Inspired by deep-rooted emotions such as love and heartache, Valentine creates raw, intimate collage artwork that reflects her honest emotions about the way she experiences life as a highly sensitive person. Valentine’s collage pieces are created using vintage media such as 70s-90s Playboy magazines, old car and cigarette advertisements, vintage poetry books, and more. In each collage, Valentine manipulates images from the past to speak about emotions of her present as she explores what it means to be sad, sexual, and single.
